Seychelles wins first gold medal at African youth games in Botswana

(Seychelles News Agency) - Judo has earned Seychelles its first gold medal at the second African youth games taking place in Botswana.

The national broadcaster Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) Television, confirmed in this evening’s sport news that Natenaina Finesse from Praslin, the second most populated island of the Seychelles, won the archipelago its first gold at the event.

Finesse won his first combat against a Judoka from host nation Botswana and in the end managed to win first place after his opponent from Mali did not turn up for the decisive combat.

Seychelles has won 3 medals at the games so far after swimmer Felcity Passon also managed two bronze medals yesterday.
