Rwandan President on private visit to Seychelles

(AFP) - Seychelles and Rwanda are hoping to reignite their partnership following a meeting between President Danny Faure and his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame, State House said on Saturday.

The Rwandan President who is also the chairperson of the African Union met with Faure at State House, in the capital Victoria, on Saturday during a private visit to Seychelles.

According to State House, the purpose of the meeting between the two leaders was also to further the bonds of friendship and increase the levels of cooperation between Rwanda and Seychelles, a group of 115 islands in the western Indian Ocean.

Following the meeting, the two statesmen exchanged gifts on behalf of Seychelles and Rwanda.
