Authorities investigating discovery of body on Seychelles’ second-most populated island

(Seychelles News Agency) - The Police say that an investigation is on-going in relation to information received that a body had been found in the upper Salazie area on Praslin, the second-most populated island of Seychelles.

The Police said Friday it received a report that there was a body at the upper Salazie Thursday morning and launched a search operation.  

Officers from different units including Response Services, the Criminal Investigation Department and the Marine Unit are involved in the operation.

The police is also questioning individuals in regards to the report but so far nothing concrete has come out of either the investigation or the on-going search.

The Police spokesperson said that up to now no body has been found during the search operation.
