35 year old Seychellois man found hanged, says Seychelles police

(Seychelles News Agency) - The Seychelles police is investigating an incident where a 35 year old man, Nelson Vidot, was found hanged in a bedroom at his mother’s home at Au Cap, eastern district of the main Seychelles island of Mahé.

The incident was reported to the police early this morning at around 04.35am local time.

“According to Nelson’s mother it was on her way to the bathroom at around 04.00am that she noticed the door to her son’s bedroom was open and that he was in the kneeling position …….On approach she found a rope around her son’s neck……..the rope was tied to a piece of wood in the ceiling of the house,” reads the police statement.

“There was a letter written by Nelson on his bed.”

Nelson’s mother told the police that her son had moved back in with her some six month ago as his marriage was not working out.
