(Seychelles News Agency) - After a whirlwind visit to the Seychelles islands for a private stand-up comedy show, comedienne and actress Luenell is ready to return home to the United States, saying her eyes have been opened about the need for Americans to respect each other after witnessing the Seychellois culture and society.
Situated off the eastern coast of Africa, the archipelago of Seychelles is a tropical paradise inhabited by under 100,000 people, but its luxury resorts and breathtaking beaches means it plays host to some of the world’s richest tourists seeking a little sun and privacy.
The comedy queen Luenell evidently enjoyed the best of the hospitality and food available to visitors of the islands. In addition to her stand-up comedy, the Arkansas-born funny lady has previously made appearances in feature films such as Think Like A Man, the animated hit Hotel Transylvania and Taken 2 with Liam Nee
Judging by Luenell’s social media accounts, she is a vocal opponent of recently-inaugurated U.S. President Donald Trump, remarking on Instagram at the outset of her journey, “Doing like Donald Klump wants us to and going back to AFRICA! The Seychelles Islands off the eastern tip of Africa. I'll bet he didn't know we would be going back like THIS! it sure beats the way we came over here! 1st class all the way baby! What an adventure! Back by Friday IF...I come back! Lol”

Luenell also made a sassy post on social media telling Trump sorry but she is coming home.
The comedy queen was eager to show her fans on social media every aspect of her stay at a luxury resort and spa situated on the western side of the main island of Mahe.
“Probably the furthest I've ever been,” she said on Instagram. “THANK YOU Comedy, you have helped me see the world!”
Accompanied by fellow stand-up comedian Dee Lai on her trip, Luenell enjoyed every second of her trip, even at moments when the tropical rain was pouring down. Posting videos of the mouth-watering food and drinks offered at the hotel, her visit to the hotel’s giant tortoises, frolicks in the pool and her visits to the spa, she had certainly not left her vibrant energy and positivity behind on stage.

The comedienne was not all about cracking jokes, making sure her fans got a little perspective of Seychelles' people and society, posting a lengthy comment on a video of a local musician entertaining at the hotel.
“A little after dinner music.....now off to my villa for rest and then I must start to pack and get ready for my last day here [in] Africa. I have not posted these videos and things to brag or pop off… I wanted people to get a different look at Africa as a vacation destination spot and not just what we were made to think Africa is like,” she said.
“Admittedly I was as naïve as the next person but my eyes have been opened now. My eyes have also been opened to how incredibly rude and unprofessional us as Black Americans have become, especially to each other. No one here has a mouth like mine... the "N-Word" is literally nonexistent.”
Although she admitted being inside the “bubble of a resort”, she said she believed the Seychellois people at the hotel were a reflection of the people of the Seychelles islands in general, remarking that the journey had truly been an “eye-opening and wonderful experience”.
