(Seychelles News Agency) - A domestic plane of the Seychelles' national carrier encountered a technical issue at the Praslin airport on Tuesday, a statement from Air Seychelles said.

Air Seychelles said that flight HM3086, a Twin Otter aircraft, encountered a technical issue while taxiing on Praslin this morning. There were 16 passengers and three pilots on board.

The airline’s spokesperson told SNA that the pilot was the one who noticed the technical issue. No further details were given.

Air Seychelles said that, “As safety is Air Seychelles' number one priority, the captain took the decision to park the aircraft to safely disembark the passengers.”

The service team on the ground assisted the passengers who have left the airport to their final destinations.

The ground engineers are expected to work on the default as soon as possible to put the aircraft back into operation.
