49 year old Seychellois woman killed in her home, Seychelles police has reported

(Seychelles News Agency) - Seychelles police has confirmed that a 49 year old Seychellois woman was killed at her residence in the early hours of this morning after two masked men allegedly broke into her home attacking her and her daughter.
The deceased has been identified as Damienne Morel of La Retraite, northern region of the Seychelles main island of Mahé.
According to a police statement issued this morning Damienne’s 20 year old daughter is admitted at the Seychelles Hospital.
The incident was reported to the police at around 1.25 am local time by a neighbour.
“Afraid and traumatized by the attack, Damienne’s nephew, aged 20, locked himself in a room to escape the brutal attack. While the mother was found lying in the corridor of her house, the daughter was found on the sofa in the living room. They both had blood on them,” reads the police statement.
No arrest have been made so far following the tragic incident and the police is appealing on anyone who may have information pertaining to the incident that could lead to the suspects to contact them.
