47 year old French man drowned on Seychelles island of La Digue

(Seychelles News Agency) - The Seychelles police has reported the death of a French man, Laurent Salle, who drowned at Anse Coco, on the Seychelles third most populated island of La Digue.

The incident was reported yesterday afternoon.

“According to information gathered by the police, it was around 12.23pm (local time) when Mr Salle was hit by a wave while he was swimming. Another visitor tried to save him but in vain,” reads the statement.

The 47 year old man was taken to the Logan Hospital on La Digue where he was certified dead at 3.45pm.

Salle arrived in Seychelles on October 19 accompanied by his wife. They were supposed to leave on October 31.
